What to Expect During the Activity
Arrival and Introduction
Meet your guide at our quad biking base in Merzouga or Hassilabiad. Before you hit the sand, you will receive a thorough safety briefing, instructions on how to operate the ATV, and essential gear like a helmet and protective goggles.
Test Drive
You will start with a short practice run on flat terrain just outside the dunes. This gives you time to get a feel for the throttle, brakes, and handling of the quad bike before tackling the steeper inclines.
Into the Erg Chebbi Dunes

Is It Safe and Easy to Drive?
Yes! Our quad bikes are fully automatic and very easy to handle, even if you have never driven one before. Our professional guides adjust the pace to match your comfort level. Whether you want a slow, scenic cruise or a fast-paced race across the sand, the guide will tailor the route to you.
- Driver Requirements: Drivers must be at least 16 years old.
- Passengers: Children or those who prefer not to drive can ride as passengers on the back of a quad bike (or in a dune buggy).
What to Bring For This Activity?
- Comfortable, casual clothing that you do not mind getting dusty (jeans or long trousers are recommended to protect your legs from the engine heat).
- Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or boots — no sandals or flip-flops).
